Finally its goodbye to cold weather and layers of clothing and hello to sunshine and a wardrobe detox to create room for a spring/summer trend capsule! In most cases trends focus a lot on colours, design and styling and here is what the fashion designers are saying…
Pastels are one of the most popular SS19 trends. From pastel clothing to accessories, however if you don’t like wearing much colour then keep it neutral with head-to-toe beige, cream and earth tones.
Obviously the colour black could never be rid off in any season and this spring/summer it features heavily in polka dots, stripes and some floral prints. Undoubtedly the warmer weather will mean a shift to much lighter/less fabric with a heavy focus on designs such as the Topshop blouse below.
So where does one shop from in Coventry to stay on trend? The city centre has many great options ranging from low priced fast fashion to slightly higher price tags (but still affordable). If you want to stay on trend for less then Primark store on Broadgate is a great option as they constantly keep up with trends however, my shopping tip would be to get there as early as possible in the day because it gets really busy! Other great options also located in the Coventry city centre are H&M, River Island and Topshop… and if you love Topshop then here is another reason to love them more, the team at the Broadgate store have an Instagram Account which you can follow for styling tips and information on what’s on trend!
Another great place to shop from would be the West Orchards Shopping Centre as there is a wide selection of stores catering to different age groups and style preferences, my favourite being the Debenhams store as they also have a beauty section and a restaurant for when you need to take a break in between your shopping because let’s be honest, shopping can be tiring!
