REVIEW: THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG

Hoorah theatre is finally back!

Mischief’s multi award-winning international smash hit comedy The Play That Goes Wrong is returning to Coventry,

I was lucky enough to watch the aware winning show The Play That Goes Wrong at the Belgrade Theatre last night and what a treat it was.

The renowned “gut-busting hit”, The Play That Goes Wrong, in its seventh year in the West End, now has a staring role at the Belgrade until September 18th.

Without giving away any spoilers the comedy show is more of a play-within-a-play. Think purposely bad acting, fluffed lines and disastrous stage mishaps – enough to have Andrew Lloyd Webber quivering at the thought. The Play That Goes Wrong is the perfect remedy to all the theatre you saw and didn’t enjoy. The show from start to finish is outrageously slapstick and unashamedly melodramatic.

This is such a treat to get you all back into theatre shows – nothing too serious but many laughs to keep you entertained during the running time.

I loved the show and am already purchasing tickets for Mischiefs other upcoming shows as we speak. I whole-heartedly recommend coming down to view this joyous treat, after the year and a half we have all had, we definitely need some much need laughter in our lives.
